- Spend more time sleeping
- Prefer lying to sitting or standing
- Sit or rest in an abnormal position
- Shift frequently to get comfortable
- Limp
- Seem stiff, particularly after resting
- Have trouble getting up from a lying or sitting position
- Resist jumping or climbing stairs
- Lag behind or tire easily during walks
- Avoid going for walks or climbing stairs
- Shiver or tremble
- Appear more aggressive or prone to biting
- Urinate inappropriately
- Appear more withdrawn than in the past
- Have a changed appetite
- Frequently lick or chew in one area
